So after a lot of thought and consideration, I have finally decided. I was thinking about either just stripping the green fiat x1/9 for all the parts I could and then junking it. Well it does have a lot of rust on it and needs a whole lot of work for it to ever been a road ready car, I could not let it go the crusher, that would be yet another one of these rare cars missing from the planet. So I have made a decision to keep it and turn it into a race car or sorts.
I found this package from Midwest-Bayless — http://www.midwest-bayless.com/storefrontprofiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?sid=1&sfid=208227&c=0&i=274106312
It is a stage 1 kit for the x1/9 that allows for a honda k series motor to be bolted right in. Of course this means that i still have to put the ecu and several other components into the car.
I have found some great pictures and videos around the internet of finished versions of this but they never document the process. So I have decided to document the process and to explain the parts I use and how I found them.
Well wish me luck, I will need it for this crazy attempt.
