Welcome to my 1977 Fiat X1/9 Restoration Project Site.
I built this site to document my 1977 Fiat x1/9 project from a car body and a bunch of boxes of parts to a completed restoration of the car.
I really like the look and feel of this car and I can not image ever letting it go.
I originally found this car in a Iwanna paper and it came with a parts car also both from 1977 which I thought was a perfect project to work on . The overall look of the car is just so 70’s and I absolutely love cars that don’t have a lot of electronics to interfere with the driving experience. There is a lot to be said about the car of yesterday, with their carburetors and only a few knobs that have purpose in life. It was more about the driver, the car and the road. Nowadays it is all about how much electronics can we fit in the dash and how many distractions can we add to the car and then wonder why the crash rates go up and in turn they try to make cars safer so now you feel like you are in a capsule driving down the road with no feeling of the road or understanding of why that stupid light on the dash is blinking saying something crazy about some crazy sensor that is possibly reading something that no one cares about. Sorry for the rant, I have a tendency to get carried away. Well on to business. I Also have a cardomain site for my cars, and will be building more blogs about those also. Why you may ask yourself, and the answer is simple, because I can and I hope someone enjoys working on their own cars as much as I do, and would love to find some real resources out on the internet for some of the stuff I have worked on. So please enjoy and feel free to put my site as a link on your site if you have one.
Classic cars are a thing that everyone should appreciate.
If you have any questions about my restoration, where I found parts, or anything else about it please feel free to ask on the contact us page.
